THE UKRAIKE WAR
IS EUROPE AN OBSTACLE TO PEACE?

President Trump & President Putin's 28 point Peace Plan is irking the Europeans no end. It seems they want the war to continue in the hope of humiliating Russia. Ukraine has been used by Europe as a scrificial lamb egging them on to fight Russia with European weapons but no European manpower. If Europe is so keen to defeat Russia, then why don't they send their soldiers to fight side by side with Ukranians and send their best fire power too.
Ukraine has so far lost over one million soldiers and civilians and lost 22% of its territory. Their cities have been turned into ruins by perpetual Russian missile and drone attackes. Many neutral observers say Ukraine has already lost the war and if there is no peace there is a danger that Russia will occupy more Ukranian territory including its remaining port - Odesa, leaving the country landlocked and totally dependent on Russia.
The 28 point peace plan was crafted most probably by Russia and acquiesced by President Trump. This has now turned into a new 19 point plan after meetings between Ukranian and U.S. officials, but it is not certain that Russia will accept it. Russia's main conditions in the 28 point plan were: Russia will not return any of the occupied territory, Ukraine will reduce its armed forces strength to 600,000 and Ukraine will include in its constitution that it will never join NATO, some of the frozen Russian funds will be provided to Ukraine for rebuilding.
The Biden Administration and Europeans pushed Ukraine into war by announcing Ukraine's inclusion in NATO, whereas they well knew that as per previous understanding Russia will never accept it, just as U.S. did not accept Soviet missiles in Cuba in the 1960s when both countries came close to a nuclear war.
This war must immediately end as there has been enormous loss of human life on both sides. No doubt it is unreasonable of Russia to want to keep all the occupied territory. Crimea is a different matter and Russia will never return it to Ukraine as it was originally part of Russia but Nikita Kruschev (a Ukranian) then Prime Minister of Soviet Union gifted it to Ukraine. Ukraine must accept peace at this point rather than lose more territory and once things settle down it can by diplomacy try to get back the Eastern region, which Russia may ultimately not want to keep anyway. Better to be talking after ceasefire than fighting.
Europeans are still pushing Ukraine not to take the deal, a continued war will be a disaster for Ukraine and other states bordering Russia. It is better for Mr. Zelensky to save his country than continue the war.
